Home Away From Home

Home Away from Home is a furniture series that includes poufs, tea stools and lamps for storage and lighting. The series is made from leftover materials from automobile manufacturing, such as surplus seat belt fabric, airbag fabric, leather and metal offcuts, together with Karuun wood. The lamp can be placed in the middle of a room, on a dining table or on a balcony. A leather band allows the Cotton Cloud lamp to be hung. The poufs come in three sizes and trims and can serve as extra seating.

Good Day

Good Day is a chaise lounge chair designed for relaxation. The seat is made of sand cast aluminum and is suspended from an aluminum crossbar carried by heavier cast legs, so the seat appears light while the base stays grounded. An internal steel frame is cast in place to strengthen the thin seat. The leather pads are formed over a mold, so no stitching or seams are visible. Magnets embedded in the casting and in the pads keep the pads secure and allow easy removal for cleaning or a change of leather. The chair measures 635 mm wide, 1600 mm deep and 830 mm tall.

Deskable

Deskable is a desk designed for single-person households. Deskable combines a desk and a dining table in one piece of furniture, which saves space in small homes. The top plate can be extended by pulling out the front drawer, so the surface becomes wide enough for meals. Storage space is placed under the extendable top. A carved line on the drawer marks the opening limit and removes the need for a separate stopper. The materials are oak plywood, coated ABS plastic, tempered glass and stainless steel.

Brahma is a chair designed for meditation and for sitting cross-legged. The backrest has a protrusion under the lower back and a defined bend and tilt, so additional cushions are not needed. The wide seat allows the knees to stay within the seat plate when the legs are crossed. The frame is made of bent-glued plywood, foam rubber and upholstery, and the legs are made of solid beech. The collapsible legs are attached to the frame with four bolts, so the chair stays light and portable. Brahma places meditation within the modern interior as a distinct piece of furniture.

The middle tables that used usually take place in the middle of the spaces and cause difficulty with the approach problems. For this reason, the service tables are used to open this gap. In order to solve this problem, Yılmaz Dogan has combined two functions in the design of Ripple and developed a dynamic product design which can be both a middle stand and a service table, which travels with an asymmetric arm and moves in the distance. This dynamic motion coincided with Ripple's fluid design lines reflecting from nature with the variability of a drop and the waves formed by that drop.

Rolling is a pillow designed to support the head and the neck during sleep. The pillow is divided into six independent areas, each filled with a different type and quantity of material. Maze is a hand-tufted area rug from the Labyrinth Collection, inspired by traditional hedge mazes. The rug is made of wool and sustainable bamboo silk. A raised pattern recalls the hedge walls of a garden maze, and the asymmetrical path can be traced with bare feet. The bamboo silk gives a slight sheen that changes tone under different lighting. Five standard colorways refer to natural elements, including a green named Boxwood. Standard sizes range from 60 by 90 centimeters to 240 by 300 centimeters, and custom sizes are available. Odgen is a credenza designed for Iola Home, a furniture studio based in Indonesia. The curved form of Odgen is combined with sungkai wood, terrazzo and brushed bronze. The top is made of wood and terrazzo, the body and the legs are made of wood, and the door handles are made of brass and terrazzo. The credenza measures 1200 by 500 by 800 millimetres. Odgen provides storage for books and other objects and helps to keep a room organised. The design draws on traditional Indonesian furniture and suits a living room, a bedroom or an office.
