Arc

Arc is a coffee table designed for contemporary living spaces. Arc is made of ash wood shaped by laminated bending. Three curved strips are joined to form a rounded, three-dimensional triangular structure. Each strip connects to the two others, so four joints are needed on every strip and each angle must be cut precisely. The table measures 77 centimeters in width, 77 centimeters in depth and 48 centimeters in height. The design is light in weight and can be used as furniture or viewed as a sculptural object. Arc draws on modern architecture and on simple structures without excess decoration.

The sculptural aspect is manifested in the shape of the encasement and legs, while the sophistication derives from the composition of elements and the utilization of materials.

Archie is a wire chair inspired by Islamic architecture. The form revives arches and the geometry of Girih tiles, adapted to modern life. The seat components are made of welded steel wire. A chrome or nylon coating makes the chair resistant to moisture and rust, so the chair can also be used outdoors. The negative space between the lines gives a sense of lightness.
