Micode

Micode is an intelligent home sleep system designed to improve sleep quality. The system combines a mattress, an electric bedstead, a bedside unit and a pillow, the objects used most often in the bedroom. The mattress has a five layer structure with independent springs and partitions that adapt to the body curve to provide even support. The pillow contains a sleep monitoring sensor that records daily sleep and offers suggestions for improvement. Bedstead modes are changed through an application or a remote control, so one bed can serve both rest and leisure.

Wall V4

Wall V4 is a floor-standing television stand designed to hold large screens close to the wall. Televisions up to 90 inches from many manufacturers can be mounted safely at a preferred height. The supporting column offers eight height levels of 5 mm each. Cables and screws are hidden inside a double-layered panel, so the setup stays neat. The base is made from a 2 mm steel plate shaped by pressing and reinforced by a radial frame, which keeps the edge thin and reduces the risk of tripping. Assembly is simple and needs no changes to the room.

The project started with making furniture out of small-diameter trees and scrap wood. Wood in Okinawa is felled due to natural disasters and road expansion. However, in recent years, road expansion has decreased due to environmental considerations, so wood is also shrinking. To continue making Okinawa furniture, it was necessary to use small materials. Therefore, the Layer stool were created by combining various types of wood. It is made from upcycled waste. This design proposes a new value by reconstructing the waste material from Okinawan wood into blocks.

Crested Ibis is a furniture collection inspired by the endangered crested ibis. The collection includes a desk, a shelving unit and a screen partition. The forms follow the wings, neck, legs and feathers of the bird. Each piece is 3D printed with a biodegradable polylactic acid composite using fused deposition modelling. Main structures are formed in one piece for stability. Larger parts are printed separately and joined by hidden mortise and tenon joints, so assembly needs no tools. The collection supports biodiversity awareness and sustainable production.

Cocoda is a chair made of solid wood. The chair is characterized by intricate three-dimensional curved arms, which are carved from solid wood. This shape cannot be produced by bending wood. The design keeps only the necessary functions, following the idea that simplicity brings comfort and beauty. Line is a furniture series composed of a chair, a table and a lamp. Each piece is formed from bent metal wire, joined by welding and combined with wood. The main material is 304 stainless steel, which is hard and corrosion resistant. The production process includes blanking, bending, heating, stretching, welding and polishing. The shapes are polished to suit the sitting posture and to improve comfort. The series is intended for home study spaces. The lamp can also hold books, while the table stores objects and organizes cables.
