Unity
The Unity Table emphasizes the idealism of unity, peace and equality through design by expressing these through craft and the Sufi traditions. A delicate abstraction of the globe is hand etched on a traditional wood base, the shape derived from a vernacular Sufi music instrument. The two forms are fused together with a solid brass ring, marrying the world with the ideology of peace and unity. Each piece is delicately hand stained highlighting the continents of the world framed in the circular grid of the longitude and latitude and finished in a high-gloss polyurethane top coat.
