Aks Sconcentrico
Table inspired by the natural phenomenon of karst erosion called Karren, present in the Dolomites. The concept of this object, made of precious Carrara statuary marble, represents the beauty and fragility of the mountain. Inside the grooves are placed steel balls that symbolize the flow of water that erodes the marble over time. Beauty, fragility, dynamism and energy enclosed in a single object.
Aks Sconcentrico Dining Table by Ascanio Zocchi has been highlighted as an exceptional representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Aks Sconcentrico Dining Table won the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2020. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that rewards superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
