Wide Paned Surface
Wide Paned Surface is a dining table designed for use in several settings within the home. The table is made of ash wood and measures 1800 mm by 800 mm by 760 mm. The legs are carved from single solid wood blocks in a lattice form inspired by traditional Eastern architecture, which supports structural stability. The tabletop is 4 cm thick and the edges are inlaid with natural rattan, a detail that recalls woven eaves and helps prevent cracking. An eco-friendly paint finish is applied. The table can serve family dining, home working and children's activities.
Wide Paned Surface Table by Shiwen Xiao has been highlighted as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Wide Paned Surface Table earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2026. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award which celebrates superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
