Crafted from plywood to preserve its natural beauty, the chair draws inspiration from Ginkgo leaves, featuring organic shapes for the back and seat. The smooth curves and round edges create an inviting and comfortable seating experience. The nest-shaped base symbolizes belonging, with the leaves nestled within, forming a harmonious and cozy environment.
Alskar Lounge Chair by Cassily Danwei Zhao was highlighted as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Alskar Lounge Chair was awarded the Silver A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2024. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design competition which celebrates outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
