Dihedral
Dihedral is a lounge chair built from geometric shapes and symmetrical components. The design combines regular and concave hexagonal forms to support the seat and the backrest. The hexagon was chosen because the shape is found in nature and forms strong, regular structures. Mid-century modern styles influenced the clean appearance of the chair. Dihedral is made of solid rubberwood with a walnut brown finish and is upholstered in faux leather over foam padding. The lounge chair is intended for indoor use only.
Dihedral Chair by Rakeem Bradshaw has been featured as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Dihedral Chair received the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design award that honors excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
