Gambit
Gambito is a custom-made chess table that was thoughtfully designed to meet specific requirements. The goal was to create a table that not only offered enough space for the game board but also included an additional surface for holding beverages and mobile devices. Inspired by the fabrication technologies of the industrial revolution, the final design incorporates multiple machine-made aluminum parts that come together to create this one-of-a-kind piece.
Gambit Chess Table by Fabrizio Constanza was selected as an innovative representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Gambit Chess Table was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design recognition program that rewards superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
