ValenOK
ValenOK is an armchair designed for use in cool interiors. The shape of ValenOK is based on the felt boot, a traditional Siberian shoe made of felted wool. The frame is made of lightweight polymer, which reduces the weight and supports ergonomic use. The filling is polyurethane, and the upholstery is a natural fabric of wool and mohair that helps maintain a comfortable temperature. Small mitten pockets are placed on the armrests to keep the hands warm. The armchair is light enough to be moved with one hand.
ValenOK Armchair by Elena Zaznobina was identified as an outstanding representation of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. ValenOK Armchair was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious international design recognition program which honors superior design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
